These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of WordCounter, a free browser-based word counter and writing toolkit operated by Vektosys. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Service description
WordCounter provides text statistics, readability estimates, keyword analysis, and text utilities. Features may change over time. The service is provided free of charge and without registration.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or misuse the site.
- Do not use the service for unlawful activity.
- Do not attempt to interfere with advertising or security controls.
Intellectual property
The WordCounter name, design, and original content (including blog articles) are owned by Vektosys unless otherwise noted. You retain ownership of text you enter into the editor.
No warranty
Statistics, reading levels, and time estimates are approximations provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for academic, legal, or professional decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vektosys is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including loss of data stored only in your browser.
Third-party services
The site may display advertisements or link to third-party resources. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes
