WordCounter

Accessibility Statement

WordCounter aims to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our commitment

We design WordCounter to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA goals wherever practical: semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, visible focus states, sufficient contrast, and ARIA labels on interactive controls.

Features that support accessibility

  • Skip-friendly landmarks (header, main, footer, complementary stats)
  • Screen-reader labels on the editor and toolbar actions
  • High-contrast light and dark themes
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion
  • Form labels and error-friendly contact mailto flow

Known limitations

Real-time statistics update frequently while typing. Screen reader users may prefer copying statistics with Ctrl+Shift+C rather than listening to every live update.

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email wordcounter@vektosys.com with the page URL and a description of the issue. We take these reports seriously.
